The Dock, a dynamic multidisciplinary arts centre in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim is seeking to appoint a Director for a period of a year.
The Director is responsible for the overall operation and management of The Dock.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional cultural leadership skills and will demonstrate a clear artistic vision and pathway for the Centre and its programme.
The Director reports to the Board of The Dock and devises, initiates and manages an innovative and inclusive arts development programme for The Dock and for various communities of interest.

Local Live Performance Programming Scheme

In March 2021, the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media announced a €50m suite of COVID-19 measures to support the commercial live performance sector to assist producers, promoters and venues to provide support for people in the industry. Of the €50m, an amount of €5m was for allocation to local authorities to support commercial live performance locally.
This Project is designed to support employment and wellbeing in the commercial arts and culture sectors through the provision of live performances by engaging the services of regional professional artists, musicians, crew and other staff members involved in live performances.
Leitrim County Council is now seeking to engage an experienced project manager, commencing June 2021, for the provision of event programming, production management, general and finance management and promotion services for the Local Live Performance Programme Scheme in Leitrim. The successful tenderer will devise, budget, promote and manage the programme of events and to assess risk and manage health & safety. The events will be programmed to take place between June and 30th September 2021.
The programme of indoor and outdoor public performance events will feature regional artists and incorporate multiple genres. The events may be located on council owned properties, and on other properties in partnership with other venues and property owners.

Leitrim County Council Arts Office has published application details and closing dates for a number of funding programmes that artists and arts organisations can apply for this year.
